Apparently it's not so easy to find something that's in the middle of ridiculously expensive and divey crap hole.

Then I may have a solution to your problem.

My shop has an upstairs office and it's not currently being used by myself.

[Successfully not sounding too interested, because showing you like something just opens yourself up to failure.]

What's the catch?

Some money towards the cost of the shop. Not a lot, we can negotiate.

[Sorry, she can't let you have it rent-free.]

But if you're not interested, I don't mind.

I'm interested. I mean, so long as you're okay with the possibility of randoms coming and going through your store?

[cleptes]

I'm okay with it. In fact, I may be able to snag a few sales off your clientele in the process so I see it as a good opportunity to increase revenue.

This might just work out all right for the both of us.

Is there a desk?

[cleptes]

There is. However, you'll need to get a filing cabinet or something to store your paperwork in.

You have complete control over the layout and if any changes should be made.

I'll sort something out. Hey, I can even get my own nameplate for the desk. Exciting.

Yeah, I know. And I appreciate the opportunity, I do. It's just. I've been through this process all before and it didn't work out so great last time. It's hard to get eager about failure.

[cleptes]

[Oh. How does she deal with this exactly? He's not happy and well, Bela isn't really the kind for sympathy. But she is supposed to be keeping on good terms with him so maybe she should offer a kind word or two.]

How do you know that you're going to fail? Thinking like that won't help anything. Even if it doesn't work out the way you planned, you can say you tried.

I don't do trying. I do winning. And with amount of suckers in this world? I'll definitely do a lot of winning.

[cleptes]

Now there's the kind of attitude I can get behind. Because if you don't win, then someone else will, and you can't have that.

I definitely don't want someone else winning. I got a show to uphold that has to display me being the best at everything. Which I am, because I'm awesome.

[cleptes]

Ah, the show. I need to get caught up on that somehow, see what I've been missing. [She's half-serious.] If your camera crew ever want to do some shooting at my shop, they have my full permission.

[Rude, she should be watching it the second it's aired.]

That's actually pretty useful to know. They kind of like to follow me. A lot.

Can't you tell them to bugger off somewhere? There's a fine line between following and stalking.

I can hardly blame them for wanting to follow a guy like me around. I am pretty awesome.

Who pays them by the way? The government?

I dunno, I've never asked. I guess it would be the Government. Same way we get our money, right?

Right. And how we get our housing as well. [She has issues with that arrangement.]

At least with the shop I will hopefully be able to generate enough income for me to find an apartment by myself.

Yeah, you'll be rolling in it soon enough.

I'm thinking an apartment of my own. Probably stay in Nonah. [He likes the attention.]

There's not much point in moving to another city if you're content with Nonah.

I'll probably stay in Maurtia Falls but god how I miss New York. My New York.
