[Working behind a counter for most of the day had made Bela a little frustrated. She enjoyed sorting through the stock, arranging it carefully and making it look appealing, but there was something lacking. No thrill.

Sure. I get all kinds of people coming in and out, but they don't always buy something. Their ages range from teenagers all the way up to those in their fifties so I have to try to market to everyone if I can.

I can't tell if any of them are druggies or prostitutes but a sale's a sale, right? I can't afford to be picky.

[She shrugs, taking a sip from her own glass and enjoying the burn.]

I've never done the whole nine to five thing before.
